Hamilton Conversion Kit – AMP Settings Guide

Overview

This guide explains how to access and adjust the AMP settings in your Hamilton Conversion Kit for improved sound performance.

These settings are mainly used for vehicles equipped with a factory amplifier, such as JBL-equipped

Accessing AMP Settings

  1. Open the Apps Tray on your device.
  2. Select Car Info.
  3. Open the AMP Settings menu.

Adjusting Fade and Balance

If your vehicle has a factory amplifier (such as JBL):

  • Use the Fade setting to control sound between the front and rear speakers.
  • Use the Balance setting to control sound between the left and right speakers.

Adjust these settings based on your listening preference.

Equalizer Settings

For best audio performance:

  • Keep Bass at 0
  • Keep Treble at 0
  • Keep Mid at 0

Changing these values may affect sound quality with factory amplified systems.

Important Note

If your vehicle does not have a factory amplifier, these AMP settings may not apply to your system.

Automatic Sound Leveling (ASL)

The ASL (Automatic Sound Leveling) feature automatically adjusts the volume based on surrounding road and cabin noise.

Example:

  • Volume increases automatically while driving at higher speeds.
  • Volume lowers when cabin noise decreases.

You can enable or adjust this feature in the AMP settings menu.

Recommended Setup

For the best audio experience:

  1. Verify your Fade and Balance settings.
  2. Leave Bass, Mid, and Treble at 0.
  3. Enable ASL if you prefer automatic volume adjustment while driving.
