Recalibrating 4Runner Conversion Kit Side Buttons

 

Use this procedure if any physical buttons (Back, Home, Power, Volume, etc.) are not working as expected.

Step 1: Open Physical Button Learning 

  1. Open Settings → Go to System
  2. Scroll down and select Physical Button Learning.

Or 

  1. Open Settings → Go to Settings Guide → Enter password 1776 and OK
  2. Scroll down and select Physical Button Learning.

Step 2: Assign Buttons

  1. Tap the field next to the button function (e.g., Back)
  2. Press the corresponding physical button on the vehicle
  3. Confirm “Successfully Set” appears on the right.

Step 3: Repeat for Other Buttons

Note: Repeat the same steps for: Only if required

  • Home
  • Power
  • Volume Up / Down
  • Any other available button

Step 4: Verify

Exit settings and test all buttons.
Changes apply immediately—no reboot required.

Notes

  • Useful after OTA updates or new installations
  • Reassigning a button will overwrite the previous setting
  • Press only one button at a time
