USB Software Upgrade - Lexus Conversion Kit

Important Before Starting

  • Vehicle must be parked safely
  • System must remain powered on during the upgrade
  • Use only the prescribed update file for your specific Hamilton kit
  • Do NOT remove the USB during the upgrade
  • Note:
In most cases, Hamilton system software updates are delivered automatically via online (OTA) updates when the device is connected to the internet.
The USB upgrade method is used only in special cases, such as:

    • Directed technical support update

    • Offline vehicle environment

    • CAN-only patch update

    • Critical recovery procedure

  • Please perform a USB update only when specifically instructed.

Step 1: Insert the USB Drive

  • Power on your vehicle
  • Wait until the Hamilton system fully loads
  • Plug the USB drive into the Hamilton USB port

(Wait 10–20 seconds for the system to recognize the update file.)

Step 2: Navigate to the Update Menu

On the screen:  Open Settings → Scroll down to Select System Version → OK

Step 3: Select CAN/OS/MCU Upgrade via USB

  • For this case Select CAN Upgrade → Select USB (Since this procedure is for a CAN update only)

Note: You should see only one file listed on the screen.

  • Tap on the File shown → OK → Then OK again to confirm (The upgrade will now begin.)

Step 4: Upgrade Completion and System Restart

  • Once finished, you will see: “Upgrade Success” → Select Done
  • After the download is completed, swipe down twice from top to bottom of the screen → Click on the "Restart" icon to manually restart the device.
  • Once restarted, the CAN upgrade is complete.

Step 5: Final Confirmation

After reboot:

  • Go to Settings → Scroll down to System Version
  • Confirm the CAN/OS/MCU version matches the prescribed Hamilton software version
