How to Set a Custom Boot Logo on Your Lexus Conversion Kit

This guide explains how to customize the startup screen on your Hamilton Motor Company Lexus Conversion Kit with your own custom boot logo. By uploading a custom boot image via a USB drive, you can personalize the display every time your unit powers on.

  • USB Drive & Image Requirements: USB Drive Format: The USB flash drive must be formatted to MS-DOS or FAT32.

  • File Name: Must be named exactly logo.bmp (case-sensitive).

  • File Format: Bitmap (.bmp).

  • Resolution: 1920x720 (using other resolutions may cause stretching or distortion).File Location: Placed directly in the root directory of the USB flash drive (not inside any subfolders).

 

Instructions

Step 1: Format USB Drive to FAT32

If your USB drive is already formatted to FAT32, you can skip to Step 2

 

How to Format USB on Mac

  1. Plug your USB flash drive into your computer.  

  2. Open Launchpad, search for Disk Utility, and open it.  

  3. Select your USB flash drive under the External section in the left sidebar.  

  4. Click Erase at the top toolbar.  

  5. Set the Format dropdown menu to MS-DOS (FAT32).  

  6. Click Erase to format the drive, then click Done when complete.  

 

How to Format USB on Windows

  1. Plug your USB flash drive into your computer.  

  2. Open File Explorer, then select This PC.  

  3. Right click your USB drive, then select Format.

  4. Under File system, select exFat or FAT32.  

  5. Click Start to format the drive, then select OK when complete. 

 

Step 2: Prepare and Save Your Logo Image

  1. Create or resize your image to 1920x720 resolution.  

  2. Save the image as a .bmp file and name it logo.bmp.  

  3. Move the logo.bmp file directly onto your formatted USB drive (do not put it inside a folder).  

 

Step 3: Apply the Custom Boot Logo on Your Unit

  1. Connect the USB flash drive to the USB harness connected to your Lexus Conversion Kit.  

  2. From the main screen on your unit, tap Settings.  

  3. Scroll down the left menu and select Custom Boot Logo.  

  4. Tap Touch to change boot logo to user-provided file on the right side of the screen.  

  5. Tap OK on the prompt to confirm.  

  6. The system will update the image and prompt you to restart/reboot the device.  

  7. Once rebooted, your custom boot logo will display whenever the unit turns on.  

 

If the Hamilton unit does not see your USB/Thumb Drive, please restart the Hamilton unit to resolve this issue.
