Welcome to the 3rd Part Application Management guide for your Lexus Conversion Kit. This article will cover how to download new applications, add and rearrange application shortcuts on your home screen, and keep your installed apps up to date.
Important: Before you begin, please ensure your unit has an active internet connection. To perform any of these steps, the unit must either be connected to a Wi-Fi network or have a SIM card installed for cellular data.
Downloading New Applications
From the home screen, swipe over to access the app drawer and open the Google Play Store.
Follow the on-screen prompts to sign in to your Google Account.
Browse or use the search function to locate the application you wish to download (e.g., Twitch).
Tap Install.
Wait for the download and installation process to complete. Once finished, the new application will be available in your app drawer.
Adding and Rearranging Home Screen Apps
Your system features two primary application menus on the home screen: Apps, which opens your full library of installed software, and App+, which allows you to place application shortcuts directly on your home screen.
Adding Applications to the Home Screen:
From the home screen, tap the App+ icon.
Locate the installed applications you want to feature on the home screen, such as YouTube or Maps.
Tap the desired applications, and their shortcuts will immediately appear on your home screen.
Rearranging Home Screen Icons:
Press and long-hold any application icon on the home screen until the icons begin to move, indicating that edit mode is active.
Drag and drop the application icons horizontally to place them in your preferred sequence.
To exit edit mode and save your arrangement, press the Home button located in the top-left navigation bar.
Updating Installed Applications
Open your app drawer by tapping the Apps icon.
Open the Google Play Store.
Use the search bar to find the specific application you want to update (e.g., YouTube).
If a new version is available, tap the Update button on the application's page.
Wait for the update to download and install automatically. Once the installation finishes, you can select Open to launch the fully updated app.
Uninstalling Applications
Open the Settings application on your device.
Scroll down and select Apps.
Tap on All apps to view a list of all your installed applications in alphabetical order.
Scroll through the list to find the application you wish to remove and tap on it.
On the App info page, tap the Uninstall button.
A confirmation prompt will appear asking if you want to uninstall the app; tap OK to confirm and permanently remove the application from your unit.
